Animals are living beings that perform the functions of nutrition, relationship and reproduction. Many are very complex organisms, but others are distinguished by their simplicity as in the case of jellyfish.

Animalia kingdom is characterized by members who manage to develop their own mobility unlike what happens with members of the kingdom of plants or fungi. (Maria Antonia Morales)

The animal kingdom, also known as Animalia or Metazoa to a set of living beings that share relevant characteristics that distinguishes them from others, such as the Vegetable Kingdom. The animal kingdom, mainly consists of heterotrophic organisms, that is, those that produce their own food. (Sara Sanchez)






















GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE

- They fulfill the vital functions for being living beings.
 - All animals are multicellular
 - Your cells are eukaryotes.
 - They're heterotrophs.
 - Its form of birth can be: Ovíparos, Vivíparos, Ovoviviparous.
 - Animals can have the following form of breathing: - Pulmonary,   Through the skin, gill respiration, tracheal respiration,
 - Its reproduction can be: - Sexually, Asexually.
 - Animals can be vertebrate animals (with internal skeleton) and invertebrate animals (that do not have internal skeleton).
- Animals can be: Carnivores, herbivores, omnivores.
- Its displacement: fly, walk, crawl and swim.

Vertebrates : are a group of animals with an articulated internal skeleton, which acts as a support of the body and allows its movement.

 The sex is differentiated The body is divided into head, trunk and limbs It has a spine, formed by a series of articulated pieces Characteristics of vertebrate animals.

 Reptiles, amphibian, birds, mammalian,fish.

 Mammals Your body covered with hair. • It has mammary glands that produce milk to feed its young.

 Amphibians They have skin, without scale and also have metamorphosis.

 Fish They are animals covered with scales and have a fin that allows them to move in the water.

Birds They are animals with warm blood, which to reproduce lay eggs.
Reptiles They are characterized by their special way of walking, since they are dragging the belly by the ground.

INVERTEBRATE ANIMALS Invertebrates lack column, most have an internal protection, as if it were an armature, but there are invertebrates that do not have any protection, like octopuses.
